Data collection methodology – the SizeChina project
CertiformTM China Heads data was collected over an 18-month period from 2,000 male and female volunteers aged between 18 and 70 in China.
The research subjects were from six diverse locations: Guangzhou, Hanzhou, Lanzhou, Chongqing, Beijing and Shenyang.
Fourteen standard points were marked on the face and head of each volunteer to enable precise comparisons.
After smoothing the subject’s hair with a tight fitting elastic cap, a circling laser projection system scanned the volunteer’s head for seventeen seconds.
This data is the basis for our products.
