IGES (surface)
The high resolution IGES files are ideal for Product Design and Engineering applications and are readily imported into a wide variety of CAD programs including Pro Engineer, SolidWorks, Rhino, and 3D Studio.

VRML (mesh)
These highly detailed scans are ideal for applications in the Animation and Gaming environment.

PLY (mesh)
PLY was principally designed to store three dimensional data from 3D scanners. A variety of properties can be stored including: color and transparency, surface normals, texture coordinates and data confidence values.

STL (mesh)
STL is widely used for rapid prototyping and computer-aided manufacturing. It is supported by many other software packages.

Suggested usage:
Surface - 3D modeling and design in CAD softwares, product design tools.
Mesh - data clean up, data analysis, rapid prototyping, 3D production.
